Fatial and jaw converter – 20 minutes of gameplay The Outer Worlds

Obsidian Entertainment brought to the Pax East 2019 festival gameplay demon The Outer Worlds. A record of his passage has already appeared on the network. The presentation is accompanied by comments of representatives Obsidian.

In the video, the main character with two companions explores Byzantium – the city hung with advertising, where the local elite lives. The developers managed to show a small quest, battles and system of dialogs. Conversations in the early version are not voiced, but, according to developers, the characters will be speechless to the release.

According to the plot of the mission, our ward participates in the filming of the propaganda film. For the sake of eating authenticity, the director asks the hero to use real weapons. In a conversation with the actor on the set, you can choose answers. Not all replicas are available by default – some of them require a certain level of one or another parameter.

Having broken up with the task, the authors went to the streets of Byzantium and staged a slaughterhouse to get into the closed area. According to them, if you wish, you can kill any citizen. However, it is not necessary to get involved in a shootout – for example, one of the guards is allowed to bribe by handing him a grenade launcher.

During the battles Obsidian demonstrated several types of weapons. The plasma rifle shoots rays that cause damage in the region when it gets into living creatures. Also in the arsenal of the protagonist there was a braid with the effect of corrosion – the little thing is useful in a fight with armored opponents.

Finally, the most interesting type of weapon was a jaw converter (Mandibular Rearranger) – a club that changes the proportions of an enemy face. As the creators explained, this gut was born thanks to the bug. The converter is one of the models of scientific weapons that we talked about here.

The Outer Worlds will get to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year. The computer version of the game starts in Microsoft Store and Epic Games Store. The people are obviously not happy for this – at the time of writing a note of diesels, the video has more than likes.

The best comments

It was as if this game is made by a studio, which has never been able to make a game with good shooting mechanics and without jambs of animation and engine

Well, in general, it is, not offense Obsidian)
But I will wait anyway. I am primarily interested in Rolepley and the plot, and with them most likely the full order.

If some gameplay mechanics is one of the main ones in the game, not episodic, then the excuses “play not for the sake of it” are not appropriate if it cannot be easily missed. Yes, other elements can draw out such a game on a cult status, but this is not a reason to pretend that there is no that mechanics in the game.

It looks really bad. The fighting itself, https://sistersitescasino.co.uk/ the animations themselves, that’s all.

When there is, it comes out? 2019? I will hold my fists.

So far, it really looks budgetary and weak. Only the role system and the possibilities of playing out are of interest. Otherwise, as if the past generation of consoles knocked on the door. Graphics, animation, ugly effects – they have no artists and designers there in general. Splash with echoed-bright effects on the full screen-it is not so annoying, so convenient, so beautiful (no).
And such presentations must be thought out in advance so that “gy-gy-gy does not work out, we kill the citizins, gy-gy-gy”

It would be cool if they measured their resources, abilities and goals and did not make another curve of Shuan.

Caution, the most touching opinion of all at once.
1. The presentation was made frankly. Instead of showing the possibility, for example, the passage of the same quest in a bunch of various ways, as was the case in the presentation of Dishonored 2, they just ran, gygy and shot at all. *A sonorous blow with a palm on the face*
2. The game looks bad for now. Someone sees the legs of the Creation Engine, IMHO, then the ears of ANRIAL stick out from everywhere, and not even the fourth, but the third, so clearly glowing curbs shine through the characters. Eternal problem of epic engine.
3. The appearance of the characters and the animation of these characters is pure New Vegas. Camon, Obsidians, you didn’t even try. It is clear that the final is still relatively far, but I strongly doubt that this aspect really important for 3D games will have time to make at least not repulsive to the release. About it a little later.

4. Now, as for the release in the EGS, the people do not remember how to accuse Gaben with his Steam of the same thing that EGS is accused of now. Here is literally under a copy. And about monopolization, and about flirting with personal data, and about the fact that other distributors are strangling. Here, of course, is a taste, but in the market of the EGS video game, apparently, they began to position themselves as, for example, “ABC of Taste”, and Steam indirectly lowered such a price and breeding policy to the level of “five” or some kind of fixation. Here are the latter and are furious. And people who want to buy a quality product and do not want some consumer goods to be caught in their eyes, IMHO will be ready to pay an extra penny, and are aware of the benefit from such a policy for developing.

The Outer Worlds is promoted and sold and sold as action-RPG in the open world with the possibility of waging any scenario. Of course, I understand that in RPG the opportunity to go through the game without murders, only dialogs, by stealth, for the plot, et cetera et cetera is important. But if this is an action-RPG, and not the largest representative of the genre, then the action-component should be implemented at the same level as dialogue and stealth. This is the RPG – the possibility of a role -playing waging without harming your game expiriveness from what path you chose. And then lovers divorced to interfere with the well-known substance of those who dare to look for normal action in the action-RPG.

Well, for the sake of justice, it is worth noting that there is no much wagering there and not. You either Jesus Christ in the flesh, or a caricature asshole. Although in the first part they still gave places to play a kind of hard disciplined warrior. It’s a pity that only in the first.

Alerted the meager filling of the location. In fact, it looks like New Vegas who looked in 2019. It is strange that they could not show a piece of gameplay with voiced dialogues for the presentation.

So much skepticism in the comments on Obsidian.

It would seem for what? Frankly weak projects from them I will not remember. And the last games were quite playable with a release without special deadly bugs.

Something in the world I do not understand (-_-)

A strange complaint about the demonstration of gameplay at the Messenger Conference. They didn’t act in the end.
Looks like alpha/pre-alpha of any game on UE, which is.
Well, firstly: taste; Secondly: see. before. paragraph.
Well, enough to get up in this matter in the pose of “everything understanding, unlike the Istrofing cattle, not like all experts”. EGS expansion – aggressive and has nothing to do with honest competition. Plus what people indicate where they should spend their money quite expected to cause a negative reaction.

Not really. It is promoted as a game from the creators of the hardware. And the branded feature of these developers (for which their games love and assign them a cult status) is the ability to create exciting stories in interesting worlds and give the opportunity to pass the game in different ways. And the convenience of these methods for each gamer is a taste (again).

I remember, I accused, and I do not refuse my words. Because at that time – yes, Steam was a fierce implanted semi -worker shit.
But it was Fifteen years ago.

For these fifteen+ years, Steam gathered all possible rakes, built the infrastructure and invented a policy that inflicted a tangible blow to the piracy. Especially in underdeveloped countries. Not with DRM reinforces and other sticks in wheels, but simply with its convenience.

For some reason, the USS decided that no one needed convenience, and that you can roll on the market on top of millions of bucks without functionality in general. Well, this is their business, maybe it will work out. But they will not receive money from me. How Steam did not receive in those days when he was shit.
If it turns out – well, at least my conscience before myself will be clean 🙂

"Worthless" and "bad" – not the same. Part of the games you have listed for the "bad" state of combat gameplay so deservedly and kicked. The rest was simply not outstanding, but not painfully bad.
So I do not see the contradictions to my commentary.

There is an action like this. And RPG elements too (but a little better). And I’m like a fan of the series I say. All the same, the Immersive Sims are not on the action of pumping accents.

At least the third witcher. The main plot does not shine like RPG, but “stone hearts” – just the standard of such a balance. Everything else is done on top, I hope that no one will deny this. The second witcher in this regard will be even better, but he, nevertheless, is not played in the open world.

Of those older, Mass Effect 2. A completely best part of the trilogy, after which BioWare rolled up, but it was nice to shoot at it. I would probably just find fault with a small arsenal and a low opportunity for customization. It was cheerful, exploded, bahalo and shone for its years completely. But again – not an open world.
Outer Worlds is also not an open world. Large, yes, but a broken into several locations anyway.
And the first mass, although here the taste, shot quite normally, and looked better than the same New Vegas.

Not quite RPG, it is still customary to attribute it to the steel-excesses, but Deus ex. Variability of passage and variability of decision -making on the spot. Mankind Divated, although it breaks off the plot in the most interesting place, again gives the same balance-you decide both the direction of development of the plot, and determine the style of your game. Up to the point that the final boss, instead of the battle, you can just give it to the face.

Here, in fact, is quite examples.

Allow me to get to the bottom. Even in the game, where we are given the creation of the character, he is still initially registered as well as the “specific hero”. Just usually worse than twice, representing not even a character, but an unfinished blank
